About

"A breath taking image isn't simply a collection of colorful pixels placed masterfully on a screen or page. It isn't simply a picture. Every image conveys something deeper: Art. When choosing my pictures I look for the meaning behind it. Perfection comes when you understand; why you are taking the picture? What does each scene mean to you? My personal philosophy is that photography is simply a form of communicating. I choose my images carefully and each one has a deep meaning or purpose. The art is capturing that purpose and meaning with a digital image. "-Gabriel Howell

Born in Lodi, California on a warm Sunday in February, Gabe has had the unique opportunity to have experienced many different places and environments. Being homeschooled until high school allowed him to experience and explore his hobbies in greater depth. On a trip to Niagara Falls he discovered his love for photography while taking pictures with the family digital camera. Since then he hasn't looked back and for his 13th birthday his parents bought him a Canon digital camera. In college his hobby suddenly became a profession. By accident, the Dean of Student Affairs noticed his pictures of a school soccer game and hired him as an official school event photographer. During this time period he had 3 of his photos published in the marketing magazine as well as started taking portrait photos on the side. He has done senior, family and animal portrait photoshoots as well as a couple of weddings. Gabe continues to take photos on the side and enjoys photography as a past time.
